(NYSE: MFA) announced that yesterday it priced a public offering of 7 million shares of its 7.50% Series B Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock (the "Series B Preferred Stock"), liquidation preference $25.00 per share, for gross proceeds of approximately $175 million. The offering is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close on or about April 15, 2013. |

Co.'s investments include principally the following: residential whole loans, including purchased performing loans, purchased credit deteriorated and purchased non-performing loans, and through certain of its subsidiaries, Co. also originates and services business purpose loans for real estate investors; residential mortgage securities, including credit risk transfer securities; and mortgage servicing rights (MSR) related assets, which include term notes backed directly or indirectly by MSRs.
